Tickets now available for a poetry walk for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, 2–18 August 2019

Ken Cockburn has led poetry walks for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Scottish Storytelling Festival, for organisations including Edinburgh College of Art, Society of Authors in Scotland and the Palace of Holyroodhouse, and for private groups.

Each walk weaves in and out of the Old Town’s closes, gardens and graveyards, and includes a range of poems and prose by authors including Robert Burns, Dorothy Wordsworth, Victor Hugo, Robert Louis Stevenson and the great Anon, as well as background about where we stop and what we see.

Tours include:

  • ‘Ye Jacobites by Name’
  • Edinburgh: the last 500 years
  • Palace, Park and Parliament
  • Kirks and Kirkyards

“An excellent tour for both the historian and the poetry lover: Ken is a brilliant guide and his love for the poems shines out and illuminates them for us.”*
